Step 1. After free download the iPod data recovery software, run it. Opt for the “Recover Data from iTunes Backup File” from the top menu. Then choose the device name for your iPod and hit “Start Scan” to find the backup file in iTunes.

Finally, press “Power” and hold “Home” for 15 seconds.

Step 3: Read extractable data scanned
After the communication is finished, all the data on the iPod will be listed in categories. That means the tool can extract all the files types displayed on the left bar.

Click “Recover” and set the save path for the files extracted. After finished, exit DFU mode by holding “Home” and “Power” button for about 5 seconds.
